Bog Pine or Mountain Pine
Halocarpus bidwillii
A slow growing shrub often found in boggy places but also found in dry stony ground. Suitable for planting in a rock garden, it can be clipped to maintain a "conifer" shape. Juvenile foliage is needle like and bronze coloured in winter. Adult leaves are scale like and deep green.
